Application Manager

 

Brooksource is looking for an Application Manager to join their Fortune 500 Financial Services client in Charlotte, NC. This individual will be joining a fast-paced, emerging space and have oversight over multiple innovative application teams. As the Application Manager, this individual will lead in all facets of the agile software development lifecycle and will have the ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment. Qualifications:

·      Experience in managing software development projects and supervising technical staff

·      Experience hiring and growing application teams

·      Strong sense of urgency and action-oriented

·      Prior experience of hands-on web development within modern frameworks

·      Has worked in an Agile & Cloud based environment

·      Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels

 

Nice to Have:

·      Managed teams that have worked within Python and AWS

·      Experience working with or strong interest in Artificial Intelligence

·      Other nice to have Technologies: RASA, NLP, big data

 

Responsibilities:

·      Responsible for managing the team and overseeing the work of configuration, development, and testing activities of business applications systems

·      Attend and lead daily stand ups

·      Oversight of team development and code quality

·      Partner with business unit and interact with Product Owners for requirement gathering

·      Work with the PMO for prioritization

·      Serve as the escalation point for vendors and partner managers

·    Direct Report: IT Director

·    Company Size: 10,000+

·    Hours: Regular 8-5 M-F

·    Location: Uptown Charlotte, NC (hybrid model, flexible days in office roughly 2-3 days/week)
