Associate Linux Administrator

The Junior Linux Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day support for Linux Redhat Systems, various operational utilities and server hardware. The system administrator will configure systems based on requested changes and follow change management processes to effectively manage changes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Technology or similar or equivalent program
  • Strong knowledge and experience maintaining, supporting, and troubleshooting Linux machines and servers
  • Experience working in at least one scripting language, Shell Scripting preferred.
  • Interest in diving into automation and an enterprise environment

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand and follow operational processes and policies and work with 1st level support to ensure timely, effective incident resolution.
  • Perform daily operational duties of system maintenance, OS, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Plans and coordinates infrastructure requests to accommodate server requests.
  • Monitors, schedules, and implements server storage expansions, as required for client needs
  • Adhere to documented, approved standards and maintain accurate system informational databases
  • Work with team to identify tasks to automate and develop automation scripts
