Our Operational Excellence Team is looking for a strong Azure Architect to help drive operational excellence and performance engineering within the Managed Cloud Environments (MCEs) focusing primarily on Azure. You’ll be expected to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) through designing and implementing solutions relating to performance capacity planning and monitoring of applications and databases by collaborating with Application Owners to optimize overall performance and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with database platforms including MongoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, NodeJS, and .NET., etc.
  • Familiarity with leading code management platforms like Gitflow, Github, and Gitops.
  • Demonstrated expertise in database migration from on-premises to cloud, ideally in transitioning relational databases to NoSQL.
  • Hands-on experience in VMWare SolarWinds, VMWare Vrops, Sentryone, Database Performance Analyzer, and Turbonomics.
  • Proven ability to design and implement backend data access/integration patterns, fortify database security measures, and architect resilient/scalable systems.
  • Experience supporting large-scale and enterprise level environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop sophisticated workflows and tools to streamline management and administration tasks within Azure environments.
  • Establish a robust monitoring and management infrastructure to ensure optimal scalability and performance of our MCEs.
  • Engage in close collaboration with Application Owners to help them understand and grasp performance capacity requirements and deliver actionable recommendations for scaling.
  • Assume the role of a performance capacity champion, presenting innovative ideas and identifying opportunities for optimization, while providing strategic guidance for capacity planning.
