Brooksource is looking for a Azure Data Architect within the Business Data Analytics group for a Fortune 50 client in the Healthcare space. This team is working on a project to bring in all security logs into a central Azure Data Lake to support compliance and analytics needs. The goal is to have all security logs on one centralized platform that is updated in real time and easily accessible. 

The Azure Data Architect will lead the planning, design, and engineering for infrastructure and platforms related to Azure cloud and multi-cloud solutions for various business partners. They will work with cloud architects, solution engineering leaders, infrastructure leaders, and business and product owners to understand and advance the strategy they are enabling with their applications and teams. The Azure Data Architect will develop specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings based on business requirements and enterprise guidelines. The Senior Cloud Architect will assess the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Job Responsibilities

·        Lead delivery activities across several teams

·        Coordinate with other technical and business teams to ensure work is aligned and timelines are met

·        Educate team on best practices and processes

·        Ensure team is following technical guidelines, security needs, and design patterns aligned to the technical architecture and strategy

·        Understanding the strategy and driving our projects and translating that into the technical details and tasks the team needs to complete to be successful

·        Drive team’s adoption of new tools and techniques

·        Work with managers, architects, business users, and team members to evaluate and provide team estimates for project and work requests

·        Mentor individuals and teams, working with resource managers on potential coaching situations

·        Advance the adoption of new techniques, tools, and processes to streamline delivery capabilities

·        Audit and provide feedback to team members regarding standards adherence, design principles, and expected patterns of work

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor's degree

·        4+ years of technical and development experience

·        1+ years of experience with Azure cloud services

·        Experience with containerization

·        Experience with building and maintaining APIs

·        Experience with ETL, SQL, PySpark

·        Experience managing cloud applications and network security

·        1 or more professional Azure certifications

·        Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Databricks

·        Experience with git repositories and release pipelines

·        Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders

Preferred Qualifications

·        Experience with Terraform

·        Experience with ARM templates

·        Experience with Python

·        Experience with PowerShell
