Sr. Business Analyst

Contract-To-Hire Position 

Remote 

 

As the Sr. Business Analyst, you will be responsible for leading quality-related initiatives to consolidate HEDIS platforms into one singular platform. You will also be responsible for assisting in changing our client's processing paradigm, going from monthly to weekly reporting. You will create functional business requirements through meeting with business partners and stakeholders, understand these requirements and document them, and help identify gaps. You will also be responsible for supporting manual testing efforts, writing user-stories, backlog grooming and wireframing to support system requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • 5 years of experience in Business Analysis
  • Experience with following technologies:
    • JIRA
    • Confluence
    • Balsamiq – wireframes
    • MongoDB
    • Swagger – API Documentation
  • Understanding of data models, querying, database, data analysis, troubleshooting issues, writing user stories, backlog grooming, and wireframing.
  • Extensive understanding of business analysis processes, techniques and tools, development life cycle (ideally Agile) 
  • Familiarity with Health Insurance (Medicare/Medicaid/Marketplace) 
  • Knowledge of HEDIS and overarching business impact; Understanding of hybrid components of HEDIS
  • Experience with QSI-XL (Quality Measurement and Reporting Solution)

  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Responsible to understand the stakeholder's business culture and priorities to effectively identify business problems, assess proposed solutions, and represent the needs of stakeholders 
  • Excel in all areas of requirements analysis, leveraging appropriate company and industry approaches and modeling techniques to gather requirements, document them according to corporate standards and procedures, and prioritize them for assigned areas 
  • Maintain the group focus, lead meetings toward stated goals and manage the group dynamics in facilitating requirements gathering and review sessions, including writing Agile epics and user stories 
  • Build, sustain, and leverage professional business relationships when gathering, validating and approving requirements 
  • Remain impartial in requirements discussions and confirm understanding by all parties involved when validating requirements  
  • Recognize inconsistencies and gaps in a complex business process 
  • Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project’s lifecycle 
  • Assist the development teams in understanding and elaborating requirements and transitioning them into a comprehensive solution 
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing 
  • Mentor other team members 
  • Assist the project manager in developing the requirements phase plan 
  • If assigned, work with business to develop a business case including return on investment, soft benefits and any regulatory issues 
  • Assist the project team in identifying and resolving scope, schedule, and resource issues
