Position: PMO Project Manager

Job Summary:

  • The successful candidate will have experience managing multiple projects simultaneously through the Systems Development Life Cycle to include: budget management, timeline management, scope development, project planning, issue management, risk analysis, procurement, implementation, and reporting. Candidate will have experience leading efforts across IS, vendor and customer teams to maintain project milestones. The variety of projects can include system migrations, relocations, facility and infrastructure upgrades, the implementation of new hardware/software rollouts, enterprise-wide IS initiatives, and program level management. Candidates must have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, MS Visio, MS Project, basic networking, telecommunications, and Lean principles. Four-year degree or equivalent project management experience is required. Clinical operational experience and/or Healthcare IS experience is desirable but not required.

Additional Essential Functions:

  • Works directly with non-IT customers to identify project scope and deliverables
  • Formalizes business partnerships with other IS teams, vendors, and department leaders
  • Coordinates implementations while managing technicians, facility groups, and vendors
  • Recommends and implements best practices based on experience and creative thought
  • Forecasts complex budgets, schedules, risks assessments and decision documents
  • Contributes to the knowledgebase of the team by identifying and analyzing problems in detail
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement and establishing standard work processes
  • Demonstrates ability to identify and understand business impact of decisions made to fulfill customer expectations

Additional Physical Requirements:

  • Work is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to Atrium Health administration
  • This position will require professional attire and a high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications
  • This position could require evening and weekend hours on occasion dependent upon the nature of the work and the location
  • Employee does not have direct patient contact however; project activities may involve working within the clinical setting as related to the project scope

Additional Training and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, a four-year degree or equivalent project management experience is required
  • Clinical operational experience and/or Healthcare IS experience is desirable
