Data Analyst – Digital Experience

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Fortune 150 Utility partner for 12-month contract with potential for extension or hire. The successful candidate utilizes data to solve key business problems within the Digital Experience team. This person is responsible for providing relevant insights to help the company make the right decisions, address key challenges, and identify new ways to grow our customer’s experience within our digital platforms.

This candidate will drive critical business insights by gathering, reviewing, and modeling data (across multiple sources) to provide solutions to key business decisions. The ideal candidate for this role is analytically-minded, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator.

The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

• Intellectually curious and creative, eager to generate ideas to solve business problems

• Strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to identify key statistics, interpret the findings, and share the data in an understandable manner

• Ability to work independently and meet critical milestones with minimal supervision.

• Capable of building, developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key clients and subject matter experts while working in a team environment.

The successful candidate will have the following skillset:

• Advanced SQL skills, and experience developing queries on large datasets

• Experience developing, optimizing, and/or maintaining data visualizations (e.g., Power BI/Tableau)

• Strong exploratory analysis skills

• Exemplary problem solving, decision making and attention to detail


• Writing advanced SQL to query database(s) for user insights

• Creating business intelligence dashboards, visualizations, and/or other advanced analytics reports

• Implements ongoing enhancements to dashboards to ensure data integrity

• Extract key observations and insights from internal and external data sources to drive decision-making

• Support the development and maintenance of automated applications, tools and processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Areas of specialization: Statistics, IT/Computer Science

• 5+ years of prior work experience in analytics

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience using an object-oriented programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, CSS)

• Working knowledge of statistics, programming and/or predictive modeling.

• Previous experience using statistical programming languages (e.g., SAS, R, sci-py)
