Job title: Application Software Engineer
Design, build, test and maintain scalable and stable application or custom built technology solutions to meet business needs. Act as a subject matter expert for Application Software developers and Engineers. Responsible for overall architecture, design, and improving efficiencies with existing technology workstreams.
Specifically, you will be supporting a project to connect a new instance of a healthcare software solution our client leverages with their exisitng Snowflake instance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related experience. Healthcare experience strongly preferred, requires demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field. Healthcare Experience (preferred), SQL (required), Snowflake (required), AWS (Required), Informatica (Power Exchange and/or Power Center) or similar ETL tools (required), Teradata or other relational database systems (RDBMS) (required), Unix (preferred), Kafka (preferred). Good to have exposure on Confluence, Alation, SharePoint, Jira and related tools.
Good communication skill (written and spoken), listening skill and working with diverse team member are highly desirable. Ability to be creative and come up with outside of the box solutions are highly desirable as well in an effort to improve efficiencies and implement new solutions.
- Cloud Development experience within a Snowflake database
- AWS S3 & AWS Glue
- DevOps – AWS
- Kubernetes (K8's), Docker
- Nice to have/big plus – Kafka (for real time database)
- Required Programming Languages (At least 1 of below, preference is Python)
