SUMMARY

Brooksource is looking for an associate Business Analyst to join their Fortune 70 Telecommunications company in the South Charlotte area. This Business Analyst will be responsible for process analysis and documentation for the Web Services group. This role requires understanding of the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommends solutions to improve general business processes and planning. This position can collaborate with one or several business units or functions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Work with business stakeholders analyze business operations and recommend solutions to align individual business functions with organizational goals.

·      Work with Octane to manage user stories, requirements.

·      Understand the structure, policies, and operations of an organization, and recommend solutions to improve general business processes and planning.

·      Compile, analyze, interpret, and present data related to current and future operation.

·      Create reports, charts, graphs and presentations to aid in proposing new strategies for successful business changes.

·      Develop project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.

·      Analyze external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.

·      May make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology.

·      Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

·      Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

·      Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

·      Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment

·      Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities

·      Ability to analyze and interpret data

·      Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities

·      Ability to be the liaison between technical groups and the business

·      Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner

·      Ability to lead effective requirement elicitation sessions

·      Ability to write requirements that are clear, concise, testable and can be interpreted by development teams

·      Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·      Ability to adapt to the organization’s documentation standards

·      Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel

·      Ability to manage multiple projects at one time

·      Ability to prioritize and organize effectively

·      Basic understanding of system architecture: databases, applications, web services, network structures

·      Basic knowledge of PowerPoint, Chalk (Confluence), Octane and Jira applications

·      Comprehensive knowledge of software applications such as Word, Excel, etc.

 

PREFERRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

·      Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)

·      Used to construct process flows to clearly show impact of project (as-is and to-be flows)

·      Previous telecommunications experience as an analyst or in a similar role

·      Business Analyst Certification such as CBAP or CCBA
