Full Stack Java Developer

Work Status' Consider: Corp to Corp (H1B with Employer), US Citizen, Green Card Holder

12mo Contract with Likelihood of Extension

Okemos, MI (Currently remote, will be returning to the office at a TBD date)

We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join our growing development team at our Lansing, MI area Insurance industry client.

You will utilize your in depth knowledge and experience in full stack java development to improve application efficiency, support key initiatives, and prioritize agile methodologies in your software development life cycle. As a core member of our development team, you will:

  • Design, develop and modify software systems and custom components using modern dev stack
  • Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers
  • Analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems
  • Develop and execute test procedures for software components
  • Analyze user requirements to derive technical software design and performance requirements
  • Plan, track, manage deliverables on short term sprints, and long-term software deployments.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of working experience in Java and J2EE development skills.
  • 3+ years of working experience in Angular 2+/ React Framework.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Web design patterns and front end technologies like HTML5, JQuery and MVC framework like Spring and Spring Boot.
  • 2+ years of working experience in Oracle PL/SQL
  • 3+ years of working experience in JavaScript and CSS.
  • Extensive experience implementing, maintaining, and using HTTP REST/JSON.
  • Detailed knowledge of browser DOM with direct manipulation.
  • Object-oriented and service-oriented design concepts, including knowledge of data transfer objects and associated design patterns.
  • Good understanding of unit testing and continuous integration environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements and work with end users/customers.
  • Ability to work in a semi-structured environment where requirements and priorities are dynamic.
  • Experience with agile development methodology
