Field Technician 

6-Month Contract  

Marietta, GA (Greater Atlanta Area) 

 

Brooksource is seeking a Field Technician to support the leading subsidiary of a Fortune 50 company that specializes in wholesale distribution! This individual will be responsible for aiding in the deployment of various hardware equipment including computers, barcode scanners, printers and more. As a Field Support Technician, you will work alongside our team and assist with all efforts related to monitoring teardown, moving of equipment, new hardware deployment, breakdown of boxes and recycling, and testing of equipment to ensure proper functionality.   

 

Responsibilities 

  • Installing or upgrading equipment maintained by the company in various field locations 
  • Configuring hardware and software components after installation 
  • Performing routine maintenance on technology equipment 
  • Testing equipment to troubleshoot the issues 
  • Documenting installation and repairs 
  • Checks parts and equipment for discrepancies to packing lists noting any inconsistencies and relaying that information to vendor and procurement 
  • Verifies and receives parts into the inventory management computer system 

 

Qualifications 

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs 
  • Previous hardware and software troubleshooting experience 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills backed by solid technical knowledge 
  • A versatile and service-oriented mindset 
  • Good understanding of safety guidelines 
  • Great communication skills and strong multitasking abilities 
  • Technically savvy and computer literate 
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner
