Job Description:
We are seeking a JR Project Manager – Cloud Migrations to assist with cloud migration projects at a higher education client in Fort Collins, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise-level cloud migrations and strong PMO expertise, including scheduling meetings, managing milestones, and coordinating with various stakeholders. This role requires a mix of remote and on-site work, with occasional in-office meetings working with internal client and System Integrator stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading end-to-end cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align project goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Organize and lead status meetings, providing clear communication on project progress.
- Oversee resource allocation, ensuring teams are effectively engaged.
- Ensure project delivery is on time and within budget, meeting internal standards.
Job Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Local to Fort Collins, CO – Ability to attend in-office meetings a few times per week.
- 2+ years of Project Management experience. Technically sound and a focus on cloud migrations would be nice to have.
- Strong PMO skills, including scheduling, milestone tracking, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience managing IT and cloud migration projects in a structured environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to drive project success.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience working in higher education or university IT environments.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud migration strategies.
- PMP or other relevant Project Management certifications.
