As the Junior Applications Developer for a Fortune 75 airline company, you will be responsible for the analysis, design, development, maintenance and support of Airport Operations applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 1+ year of application development experience
  • Experience designing and documenting domain models, sequence diagrams, user stories or use case diagrams
  • Experience identifying and documenting business requirements and processes
  • Strong working knowledge of Java, SQL, object-oriented design, Agile principles and methodologies
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, JavaScript, web services, and Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Working knowledge of a source control tool such as Git, SVN or CVS
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD is preferred
  • Experience with Angular JS is a bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle using best practices in object-oriented techniques and Agile software development methodologies
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives and sprint demos
  • Work with users to capture and document functional requirements and processes and maintain related documentation
  • Evaluate requirements and enhancement requests and propose solutions to Operations Coordination product suite with careful consideration to cost, impact and compatibility with other systems
  • Collaborate with teammates to formulate and execute implementation plans for delivery of requested functionality
  • Actively participate in software design
  • Analyze, review, create and alter existing software, automated tests and software artifacts to implement bug fixes
  • Monitor performance and provides support of application after implementation
  • Create and update user documentation and user guides
  • Provide technical assistance and partners with end users to solve operating problems
  • Investigate and resolve problems with software products and systems
