Title: Junior System Analyst

Location: Remote w/potential to return to office in Charlotte, NC in 2021

Structure: 12-month Contract to Hire

Brooksource is seeking a Junior Technical Business Analyst to join our financial services client in the Charlotte, NC area. As a Business Analyst, you will be joining the Product Technology team and will work as the liaison among stakeholders in order to understand the technical structure, policies, and operations of the organization. You will translate business needs into requirements that are understood by all stakeholders as well as define, validate, and deliver solutions that meet business needs/goals/objectives/budgets.

Daily you will:

· Elicit and document business requirements, risks and priorities to establish a clear understanding of the stakeholders’ environment in support of solution development

· Document environmental knowledge and leverage existing knowledge repositories

· Ensure the traceability of individual requirements and adherence to the defined requirements management process

· Analyze business requirements and perform current/target/gap/impact analyses

· Articulate business needs, gaps, impact across all areas and proposals to close gaps

· Validate that the proposed/designed solution(s) and associated testing approach will support meeting the articulated business requirements

· Prepare documents such as expected benefits, gap analysis, use cases, models, current and proposed process, workflows, data flows, implementation plans and end user guides in accordance with standards and methodologies

· Identify/escalate conflicts, issues and changes in order to appropriately manage scope

· Support achieving consensus on scope changes and achieve signoff by all stakeholders

· Investigate, evaluate and support prioritization of client requests for new or existing solutions

Top Skills Needed:

· 0 – 3 years of experience taking and translating technical requirements

· Project or internship experience working with other group members

· Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies

· Able to interface with and communicate with clients’ executives and manager in a professional manner

· Demonstrated critical thinking skills with minimal direction and clarity of thought.

Nice to Haves:

· Experience documenting requirements using at least one of the following collaborative management tools; Rational Team Concert, Rational Requirements Composer, JIRA, Requisite Pro, Caliber, Rally, Version One, or Confluence

· Experience in working with product owners, stakeholders, and tech staff

· Financial Services industry experience working in a distributed enterprise IT environment (within a Scrumproject team, production support or testing unit)
