Position: Manager, Automation & Cloud

Duration: Direct Hire

Location: Client in Louisville, KY – Can sit remotely if you reside in Indiana or Kentucky. Must be willing to be onsite in Louisville as much as needed. 

 

Job Duties: In joining Brooksource’s Healthcare client as Manager, Automation & Cloud, you would be working with one of our best client relationships in a fast paced, high-energy environment. The Manager, Automation & Cloud Operations will manage a team of technical analysts in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of technology that supports the organization's mission critical automation and cloud infrastructure. This position assists reviewing industry technology, standards and best practices to create plans to ensure the technology platforms meet SLA and operation goals. This position will assist in promoting standards, developing capacity plans, roadmaps, and developing related policies and procedures. This position is expected to collaborate with I.S peers and leadership on improvement service opportunities. The position will effectively lead the IS Operations team to meet service and project in accordance with defined client tools, processes, and best practices. High proficiency in CI/CD, DevOps Tools and Microsoft Office.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the DevOps team and related projects. Leads and guides individuals that would monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve building, packaging and deployment processes in a hybrid Cloud environment.
  • Identify staffing resource requirements and skill sets required to meet project DevOps goals, and work with Staff Augmentation Services when extended resources are required (including all contract management functions)
  • You live and breathe the DevOps/Continuous Delivery mind set and culture and will passionately evangelize and mentor client teams to shift their mindset and thinking
  • Partner with other technology manager(s) to enhance the software release process and other DevOps initiatives
  • Lead and implement the latest DevOps process and procedures from the ground up
  • Mentor team and develop Source Code Management practices
  • Be intimately familiar with leading open source tools for deployment/configuration management tools and can work with software development and operations teams to enable DevOps automation ranging from Git, Jenkins, Docker, Maven, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and others

Requirements:

  • (Required Technical Experience):
    • Solid technical background, with hands-on DevOps related experience in automated, CI/CD, agile environments delivering infrastructure, monitoring, and tooling to high-traffic cloud-based products
    • Proven track record of building, leading, and motivating highly talented remote teams to work in agile, cross-functional environments ensuring that modern technology and processes are implemented
    • Strong influencing skills leading technology discussions at the senior leadership level
    • Experience leading team applying different SDLC methods including Agile, Scrum, XP, RUP and Kanban
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code deployment patterns within Cloud providers (Azure, AWS, Google)
    • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines
    • Experience working with Agile Frameworks
    • Experience leading managers in impactful operational teams
    • Proven track record of building, leading, and motivating highly talented remote teams to work in agile, cross-functional environments ensuring that modern technology and processes are implemented
    • Shown ability to lead change and communicate effectively
    • Demonstrate a work history of successfully designing and implementing enterprise-level IT servers, storage solutions
    • Advanced knowledge/experience with Monitoring & Alerting tools
    • Experience building SaaS infrastructure supporting business-critical cloud & on-premises services
    • Strong influencing skills leading technology discussions at the senior leadership level
  • (Desired Experience):
    • One year in a healthcare setting
    • One year management
    • Industry Recognized Technical Certification
    • Information Technology Infrastructure Library
  • (Education Required) – Bachelor’s degree in computer science field.
  • (Certification Required) – None Required. Industry Recognized Technical Certification Strongly Desired
  • (Location) –Client in Louisville, KY – Can sit remotely if you reside in Indiana or Kentucky. Must be willing to be onsite in Louisville as much as needed.
