Network Administrator

Our local commodity training client is actively looking to add a Network Administrator to their growing IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our network, while receiving training and support from our current network administrator. On top of providing technical support to our staff, this role offers the chance to help shape the direction of our IT department by introducing cutting-edge tools and procedures that will help take this department to the next level.

Responsibilities:
- Help increase profitability by maximizing the way our people use technology in our daily operations
- Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the network to support the daily function of the IT environment
- Monitor systems and run regular checks on network and data security
- Provide technical support and guidance to users
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT
- On top of providing technical support, this role offers the chance to help shape the direction of our clients IT department by introducing cutting-edge tools and procedures that will help take their department to the next level
- Monitor and maintain security
- Analyze and identify risks/gaps which need engineered solutions to address concerns
- Perform any other related duties as required or needed
To thrive in this role, you are:
- Have experience restoring networks from backups, administering TCP/IP networks, and Windows Server Administration
- A self-starter who can complete work with minimal supervision
- Strong in technical skills and critical thinking
- Excited to contribute and work in a collaborative and team-centric environment
- Not afraid to go above and beyond in resolving issues outside of the standard business day
- Familiar or have experience working with Microsoft Office 360, Windows Active Directory, VMware, AS400 and Sales Assist is a plus
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Network Operations, Computer Science, or equivalent experience desired
- Prior experience in a Network or Systems Administrator environment needed
