18-Month Contract

Remote

As the Network Engineer, you will be a part of our Fortune 50 Technology client’s Consulting arm, working remotely for a top-tier Financial Services customer. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and analysis of all elements of the Cisco Network and Telephony deployments including software, communications devices, circuits, routers, and end station devices. You will immediately contribute to a collaborative, dynamic team environment and will have the opportunity to expand your portfolio as you control performance and status of all network resources and optimize network performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on network engineering and troubleshooting experience
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification with practical, hands on experience
  • Experience coding in at least one language for network or systems automation
  • Experience supporting large projects preferably in low latency platform, financial background or carrier
  • Ability to help with integration of new network technologies
  • Possess good time management and communication skills
  • Coursework, related experience and/or demonstrated ability will be considered in lieu of a degree

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and analysis of all elements of the Cisco Network and Telephony deployments including software, communications devices, circuits, routers, and end station devices.
  • Monitor and control performance and status of all network resources.
  • Utilize software and hardware tools, identify, and diagnose problems affecting network performance.
  • Perform network maintenance including hardware and software upgrades, migrations, decommissioning, and capacity upgrades.
  • Contribute to documentation, automation, and processes as they evolve.
  • Use internal tools and scripts to configure, monitor and repair network events.
