PC Support Technician (Call Center)
Columbus, OH – Fully Onsite
Ongoing Contract (Option-to-Hire)
Pay: ~$20+/hr
Brooksource is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician, preferably with call center experience, who has experience or knowledge around supporting PCs (Windows), laptops, printers, etc. using ticketing software. This will be Tier 1 level PC Support with some Tier 2 assistance if needed. The successful candidate will work independently and collaborate with other team members as needed to assist internal clients to resolve their issues by either phone or email. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Experience troubleshooting peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, and Apple mobile devices.
· Provides telephone support related to networking or connectivity issues.
· Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
· Provides basic diagnosis, analysis and resolution of issues and customer(s).
· Receive telephone calls and e-mails from users having problems using computer software and hardware (Windows-based) or inquiring how to use specific software, programming languages, electronic mail, or operating systems.
· Assist users through issues using problem-solving steps and escalate problems in accordance with defined procedures.
· Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and administrative environment questions in a timely manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· 1+ YOE in a Customer Service/Call Center position
· 1+ years in an IT Support role (PC Support, IT Help Desk, IT Support, Tier 1 Technician, etc.)
· Foundational understanding of Windows 10 operating systems and other MS products (Active Directory, SSCM – Endpoint Manager, etc.)
· Experience working within a ticketing system
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
