The Product Owner works closely with stakeholders across the

organization to define, scope, create and execute upon a product roadmap to

deliver on-time, high-quality products that align with our medical device client’s

business goals. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter with strong

communication and collaboration skills who is not afraid to roll up his or her

sleeves.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities

·        Takes the lead of scrum teams as the PO

·        Provides transparency to all stakeholders throughout the project

and escalates accordingly

·        Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis,

requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process

descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive

product analysis, task, and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints

·        Assesses value, develops business cases and prioritizes epics, stories,

and themes to ensure work focuses on those that bring the most value in

alignment with overall business strategy

·        Decomposes features into manageable user stories and

collaborates with business partners to gather any information required for user

story creation

·        Leads the planning of product release plans and drives to

execution

·        Owns and maintains a backlog with adequate amount of prepared

work to ensure no resource downtime

·        Supports agile/scrum values by adhering to its principles and

practices and keeps abreast with agile/scrum best practices and trends

·        Thinks creatively and researches and analyzes competitors and

market trends

·        Communicates clearly (written and verbal)

 

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in related field

·        Minimum 1-3 years support operational, continuous improvement,

systems improvements and/or other applicable experience

·        Knowledge and/or experience with other Agile development

approaches and techniques

·        Demonstration of leadership and strong collaboration at all

levels

·        Experience in driving teams to execution

·        Experience with technical systems, data structures and languages

·        Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite

·        Effective written and verbal communication

·        Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs; may

require up to 10% travel

·        Foster a positive environment of innovation via customer

centricity, institutionalizing agile innovation practices based on quantifiable

customer insights and a lean-startup approach

Preferred Qualifications  

·        Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
