Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
Our client is a retail organization experiencing increased website traffic and seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to ensure optimal website performance and user experience. Join a growing team committed to innovation and excellence in the retail space.
Job Summary:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications. This position is 100% focused on testing, primarily manual for now, with plans to transition to automation in the future. The role involves working in a dynamic, less formal Agile environment with monthly sprints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive manual testing of web applications to ensure quality and functionality.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies aligned with project requirements.
- Test and validate websites built on PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress, focusing on HTML and CSS accuracy.
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect tracking using GitLab.
- Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to streamline future automated testing workflows.
- Provide feedback and recommendations for performance improvement and identify opportunities for automation testing implementation.
Tech Stack and Environment:
- PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WordPress.
- GitLab and CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Currently manual testing; automation plans are in the pipeline.
- Agile environment with monthly sprints.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Strong experience with PHP.
- Hands-on experience working on WordPress websites.
- Proficiency in GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with unit testing.
- Agile Experience. This team has a less formal Agile processes and monthly sprint cycles.
