The Quality Analyst role works within our agile/scrum Product Engineering team to work on assigned testing tasks provided and overseen by a more senior Quality Analyst. This role takes on and completes small tasks to the definition of done, works with immediate peers, and communicates appropriately.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Develops and executes test plans to ensure that all objectives are met.
- Creates meaningful test cases.
- Ensures defects are recorded, reported, re-tested and traceable to the user story.
- Applies SDLC and STLC concepts.
- Participates in creation and updates to the Quality Strategy.
- Ensures User expectations are met during the testing process.
- Documents test results.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Graduation or Post Graduation degree in Computer Science or engineering fields, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of relevant QA experience.
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology including Agile ceremonies.
- Understanding of the various QA terminologies, SDLC and STLC.
- Understanding of QA Best Practices and supporting processes.
- Experience writing SQL queries and querying relational databases.
- Experience working in a CMS system is a plus
