Brooksource is seeking two (2) mid-level Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts to join one of our Public Sector clients on the third rollout of an exciting, multiyear project regarding a wholesale modernization of the client’s current legacy collections system, marked by the implementation of a new, state-of-the-art collections system platform, C&R’s Software Debt Manager. The ideal candidate will be very detail-oriented and diligent about documenting all test cases, test executions, defects, etc. They will also be customer-centric, excellent communicators, and able to maintain strong working relationships with teammates and stakeholders.

The primary focus of the QA Analysts will be to apply requirements to manually test an array of configuration items, ETL (Incoming + Outgoing File Transfers), workflows, collections letters, and reports. They will also support data creation for training and the testing of production and managed services items, as well as document artifacts in the ALM Octane product. For this project, the management methodology is waterfall with an agile flare, as testers iteratively test items on a monthly basis. Broad technical experience with a variety of technologies is preferred, as their team tests everything from file exchanges, web applications, Java applications, letters, reports, etc.


  • Reviewing software requirements, user stories and preparing test scenarios.
  • Designing and developing automation and manual testing scripts.
  • Executing all testing levels (System, Integration, and Regression, etc.) to confirm software meets requirements.
  • Detecting, tracking software defects and inconsistencies.
  • Providing support documentation on defects and test results.
  • Preparing reports on all aspects of the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
  • Interacting with clients and/or vendors to understand product requirements.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
  • Providing timely reviews, designs, solutions, and documentation as required.
  • Applying quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
  • Running, managing testing jobs and test calendars.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or other related field OR equivalent work experience if no degree.
  • 4+ YOE in Quality Assurance (QA) system testing, using mainly manual processes.
  • 4+ YOE in any combination of the following: designing + performing systems analysis; developing or modifying programs for computer applications; performing testing, debugging, + code review; and/or assisting with analysis and design.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans/use cases and assisting with user acceptance testing (UAT).



·        Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies

·        Experience in the Financial services industry is a plus.


·        Candidate MUST be an Ohio resident (role is remote, but candidate must reside in the state).

·        Candidate MUST be either a US Citizen or possess the proper legal authorization to work in the US.
