Release Manager

One of our Fortune 100 healthcare companies is looking for a Release Manager to join the team. The current project is aimed to increase membership on the United Strategic Platform (USP). This includes not just supporting new business/markets, but also migrating membership off legacy platforms and onto the USP. The role is highly collaborative and will be interacting with Technical Leads, Architects, Developers and Testers/Quality Engineers across multiple applications. The number will vary depending on the initiative.

Primary Responsibilities:

  – The candidate will assess and interpret customer needs and requirements and help to identifying solutions. Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Release Train using various tools, such as CA Agile.

 – Facilitate PI Planning readiness by facilitating a continual grooming process which drives the development of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs. They will be responsible for dependency management as well as risk and issue management.

 – Maintain a cross-product/application schedule- Prioritize and track the execution of features and capabilities.

 – Will be responsible for communicating and collaborating with all levels of the organization, across Business and IT teams.

-Facilitate System/Solution Demos.

 – Track program financials and ensure budgets are being adhered to.

 – Able to generate detailed project status reporting (including critical path impact, dependencies, milestones, resources, cost, work breakdown structures, etc.)

Required Experience:

-2+ years of scaled agile project management experience.

-2+ experience planning and creating cross-application schedules.

-Experience in delivering large IT Projects involving multiple applications.

-Stakeholder engagement, risk management, delivery planning and prioritization.

-Understanding of agile principles, LeSS methodology and familiarity with Rally tool.
