Job Title: Release Train Engineer (RTE)
Job Description: Brooksource is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a Fortune 100 client in the healthcare industry. You would be working with one of our best client relationships in a fast paced, high energy agile environment within the clients Enterprise Clinical Operations team. This team is currently focusing on care management and is building a solution within Salesforce Healthcloud that clinicians use to pull data from one central hub. The goal is to proactively keep members healthier by understanding what support to they need, what medications they need, and discover situations like why they are not taking their medications. The team is looking to add a true, full time RTE that can alleviate the current Program Manager from splitting time doing both roles. There are currently 11 scrum teams that this RTE would be supporting. The team is expanding, and this role would help to set up new ART’s within care management.
The RTE serves as the chief scrum master and is responsible for executing the program level events with the Agile Release Train (ART). These program level events include Program Increment planning, ART Synchronization, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and PI retrospectives. The RTE works closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to support pre-PI Planning activities and the Product Owner Sync. The RTE monitors progress and performance of the program and owns the Program Board. This includes creating reports and metrics to monitor the health of the Program Increment and identify areas which may require action to successfully deliver the PI. This includes PI burndown metrics, feature completion data, velocity data, and load v capacity.
The RTE assists in the tracking of cross-team dependencies (internal and external) and helps ensure plans are in place to deliver these dependencies in accordance with the PI Plan. The RTE tracks key program level risks which threaten the ability to deliver the plan and ensures that plans are defined and executing to mitigate those risks. The RTE serves as a coach to scrum masters and other key roles. This includes supporting the continuous improvement of the team's agile maturity.
· Bachelor's degree
· 3+ years of agile experience
· 2+ years of RTE experience
· 3+ years of leadership experience
· SAFe certification
· Experience with Azure Dev Ops is a plus
· Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer
