Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our consulting team to provide project services to our Fortune 24 Healthcare Insurance client. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients’ migration of an internal claims application to AWS, utilizing streaming technology.

Responsibilities:

– Work with a consulting team and internal employees to assist in designing, implementing, and managing the migration of an internal claims application to AWS, following the pre-defined architecture framework provided by the client.

– Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and technical constraints.

– Architect scalable and reliable solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies, with a focus on streaming technology (Kafka).

– Hands-on development using AWS services such as EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Lambda, and SQS (Simple Queue Service).

– Implement best practices for security, reliability, and performance optimization.

– Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

– Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

-Experience as a development or engineering lead on multiple projects, preferably application migrations.

– Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.

– Proven experience with streaming technology, preferably Kafka.

– Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, and SQS.

– Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

– AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).

– Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

– Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible).
