Senior DevOps Engineer

Long-term Contract

This organization is seeking three Senior DevOps Engineers who specialize in Java and AWS to help further develop cutting edge, next generation technology within enterprise data sets. This opportunity will allow for exponential growth with a fast-paced, exciting, and engaged environment.

Skill Set 

  • 8+ years of experience in Java/Scala development experience
  • Strong AWS experience
  • Spring Boot/Spring Framework
  • REST API’s
  • Big Data
  • Linux/Unix experience
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Focusing on applications, development, and big data tools leveraging the Java Framework
  • Wear multiple hats including assisting with the analysis phase
  • Consume or publish data to AWS services
    • Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB
  • 60% application development, 40% operations – Dependent on the team’s need
  • Interact and collaborate with 10-15 team members daily
  • Mentor Junior Developers and assist them with technical tasks
  • Work on SQL Databases and MongoDB
  • Work on design and development of Spring Boot application interface with Kafka, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch, and MongoDB
  • Participation in stand-up and grooming meetings
