Senior Java Developer (Backend)
6 Month Contract to Hire
$60-70/hr on contract (125K – 135K at the time of conversion)
Join Brooksource in an exciting opportunity to become a Java Developer for our prestigious Fortune 30 client within the Retail/Building Materials industry. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers in the creation and design of a product that delights our client's customers and associates. As a Java Developer, you'll be an integral part of our client's innovative Device Team. This team is currently focused on pin pad refresh projects and is seeking a Java expert who can delve into legacy systems, understand how the software's interactions with hardware, and thrives developing applications that have no UI. If you're passionate about Java and eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects, this role is perfect for you.
Requirements
- At least a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant work experience
- Extensive experience developing applications using Java 8
- Experience developing legacy device applications, working with pin pads, or retail-development experience.
- Proficient in destructive testing methodologies and tools
- Proficient in test-driven development and effective unit test creation
- Proficient in successful application of design patterns
