Bill Rate: ($75-80)

Pay Rate: ($40-$45)

The Sr. Test Engineer will join the Product Development Scrum team to lead product testing efforts and operationalize practices that improve the quality of our products. They will serve as a testing SME and help to build a quality assurance discipline and structure throughout the company, in all our development and deployment processes. They will work with other engineers to establish scripts and standards for manual and automated testing, improving our ability to maintain quality as we grow to meet market demand. This role will require a hands-on approach and a significant individual contribution to acceptance, integration, unit, functional, and regression testing. Quavo is a remote-first company, but we do require that candidates are within driving distance of our East Lansing, MI or Tempe, AZ office for successful onboarding and monthly in-person events.

Responsibilities Include

  • Maintain overall product quality by establishing patterns, standards, routines, and methods for identifying issues
  • Create testing scripts and conduct in-sprint acceptance testing
  • Reduce the frequency and severity of product defects by expanding test coverage and identifying deployment risks
  • Participate in all Scrum ceremonies as the authority on product quality
  • Serve as the testing subject matter expert to educate and mentor other quality engineers
  • Identify and document critical application flows for test automation and production monitoring


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years testing complex software applications
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into test cases
  • Exhibit high standards and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to assess testing impact and deployment risks for product changes
  • Hands-on experience testing APIs (SOAP, RESTful, etc.) using Swagger, Postman, Fiddler, or other tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to develop relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptable and agile approach and be able to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Highly motivated self-starter that can think and operate independently


Preferred Qualifications

  • Pega experience
  • Experience with intergration test tool such as postman, fiddler, swagger. (anything for tracking API's)
  • Experience using test automation tools, such as Cypress, Katalon or Selenium
  • Experience testing or developing payment processing systems
