Senior Microsystems Specialist

6-Month Rolling Contract

Our client, a top-ranked hospital system in the Greater Atlanta area, is looking to grow its enterprise-level microsystems team with a Senior Microsystems Specialist to support enterprise-level applications, hardware, software, migrations, and other infrastructure. This position allows this opportunity to join a great team culture and delve into an advanced-level support environment, growing one's technical expertise and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Acts as advanced-level utility player to support the enterprise end-user computing environment and management of virtual desktop infrastructure from an automation and advanced level skillset.
  2. Works in conjunction with multiple teams within Information Systems and external vendors to develop and deploy software packages and upgrades for the enterprise.
  3. This role is responsible for the developing, maintaining, and creating technical support documentation for enterprise-wide desktop/laptop software and hardware standards including image creation/maintainence and software/hardware selection.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Information Systems or related technical field, or eight (8) years of professional work experience supporting personal computers and technology.
  • Five (5) years of experience working with personal computer software and computer hardware installations and support.
  • Experience with standard operating systems and desktop applications (i.e. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Professional, etc.).
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills.
  • Must possess excellent communications and customer service skills.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or other technical field.
    • A+ certification or equivalent certifications.
    • Eight (8) or more years of experience in personal computer software and hardware installations and support.
    • Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience with Single Sign-On is preferred.
    • Experience with standard network technologies (i.e. Ethernet, TCP/IP, Active Directory)
    • Experience working in technical support at a healthcare facility.
