Job Title: Software Engineer 

Location: Louisville, KY


Job Description: Brooksource in Louisville, KY is seeking a Software Engineer for a Fortune 100 client in the healthcare industry. You would be working with one of our best client relationships in a fast paced, high energy environment within the clients Analytics Data Management team. This team is responsible reviewing a large number of claims between state contracts and CMS to ensure accuracy. Specially, they provide core data support for claims data, do heavy lifting on ETL with SQL Server, Oracle, and Netezza, and help build pipelines to manage data flow of medical records.


As a Software Engineer, you should have demonstrated ability with SQL and a scripting language, preferably python as you will be creating data pipelines and data sets. We want this candidate to have an eye for data and be capable of problem solving and doing basic analysis to aggregate data and present it in a way that is consumable to customers. Lastly, as a Software Engineer you will help develop normalized relational databases optimal for application development and data reporting purpose and work directly with internal stakeholders to understand business needs from a technical perspective and design databases to match these needs. 


Role Requirements:


       Python scripting

       Distributed and/or relational database exposure   

       Comfortable working in a team environment with other developers

       Strong communication and problem-solving skills


Preferred Requirements:

       Public Cloud Platform


       Experience managing version control, preferably Git
