Our Fortune 10 Healthcare Client is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Medicaid organization as they experience rapid growth. This team builds out capabilities that allow states to enroll in Medicaid with one click.

This role is designed for someone who's looking for an opportunity to step into a highly collaborative environment where they can make a tangible impact on the healthcare of millions of Americans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 6+ years equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of Java/ RDBMS (oracle preferable) experience with designing data structures, building functions, stored procedures, indexes, triggers, and performance tuning
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as Kafka Streaming, NOSQL DB's such as Cassandra, MongoDB, Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes Docker, OpenShift, etc.
  • Experienced in system integrations using RESTful APIs (JSON), Batch interfaces.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Cucumber, and/or Gherkin
  • Experience in an Agile Environment
  • Healthcare experience or exposure to EDI/HIPAA transactions, preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, deployment and support of software to create business value.
  • Assist the team in adding enhancements to our system, refactoring technical debt, and researching new technologies and frameworks.
  • Contribute unit and functional tests to certify your work meets expectations.
  • Implement design patterns to enhance our highly scalable web application.
  • Join an agile team; participating in stand-ups, iteration planning, design reviews and other typical agile ceremonies.
  • Learn personally and teach others. The team is built on the premise that learning is never-ending and essential for continued growth and success.
