Title- DevOps Engineer
Where is the work to be performed? (Please list preferred UHG facility, if other please specify i.e. remote work, rural, etc.) – 2300 Main St., Irvine, CA 92614, USA
What does the team make-up look like – how many members and what is the break-down of the team’s skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)? 1 Scrum Master, 3 Developer. I have mentioned the skill set in Field glass requisition.
The DevOps Engineer is responsible for maturing the DevOps mindset within the agile teams using techniques such as Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery to provide quality products with seamless integration across Development, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Operations, and Release Management roles.
The successful candidate will be a servant leader who develops and supports a learning organization model through coaching, training, and mentorship. The successful candidate will be one that can adapt as necessary for unintended consequences of this change initiative and one that understands the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. Blogging and community support are a part of this role.
Candidates will work in a DevOps team environment and are expected to work on both tactical and strategic assignments. Since the team is very young in its adoption of DevOps principles there is still a fair amount of manual maintenance work. Candidates are expected to handle the manual work while figuring out how to automate it.
Minimum 7 years of experience is in developing complex requirement.
– Must have 5+ years of experience in Java/Spring/JSF .
– Must have 3+ years experience on production support.
– Ability to write complex sql queries , Stored procedure and other DB objects.
-Should have experience working in Linux environment.
-Experience in Kafka and cloud technologies like Azure , openshift.
-Should have experience in Devops tools like Jenkins,Github etc.
– Should be able to co-ordinate between onshore and offshore team.
-Sound analytical skills to solve complex production defects.
– Willingness to support production environment outside of business hours.

What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc) – 8 AM -5 PM PST. Since the candidate will need to provide support for production environment, there will be quite a few occasion to provide support outside of business hours or over the weekend.
What does the interview process look like?
a. How many rounds? Possibly 1-2 rounds . 1st round(1 hour) – technical. 2nd round(optional 30 minutes) – Managerial.
b. Video vs. phone? 1st round phone . 2nd round Video.
c. How technical will the interviews be? 100% technical
