Brooksource is seeking a Software Engineer that will be working with a team of engineers, architects, and designers to implement and iterate on the most critical features for our client’s Care Team CRM platform. This CRM is being built out to enhance member and provider care when calling into our client’s telephony system. You will have the chance to influence the decisions of a young organization. You will be trusted to own major parts of the codebase, and we expect you to thrive as a leader in spearheading and shaping our technology direction, with help from your peers.

Software Engineers with this CRM team contribute to their instance of SugarCRM by coding in PHP and Javascript (Backbone/jQuery/Handlebars), while integrating with the rest of the client’s GCP cloud-native platform via REST APIs, websockets, and Pub/Sub messaging services.

Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain high-quality code (PHP, JS, HTML, CSS).

• Write proper test unit and integration test coverage.

• Assist in the feature grooming process.

• Participate in peer code reviews and agile ceremonies.

• Assist with production releases and the timely resolution of bugs and incidents.

• Contribute to documentation, knowledge-sharing, and the elimination of technical-debt.

Preferred Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a fullstack Software Engineer.

• Strong understanding of Git workflows and ability to rebase and resolve merge conflicts with ease

• Experience building production PHP applications. SugarCRM experience a big plus, but not required.

• Frontend development experience (HTML, CSS, JS).

• Strong experience with testing and writing solid test cases.

• Experience working within an DevOps style environment using agile delivery practices and methodologies.

• Strong communication skills with ability to interact with business and customer representatives.

• Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems.

• Building collaborative relationships with team members, fostering a productive team environment, and coaching staff with timely meaningful feedback
