1 Year Contract to Hire

We are seeking a Sr. Android Developer to join the Digital group at a Fortune 100 Financial Services company to develop the Advice and Guidance application for the client's Android platforms.

You will be joining a scrum team in an agile environment. This is the ideal opportunity for an individual with a strong Android development background to play an integral role within a highly visible team. The Android Developer will closely work with key stakeholders to improve the organizations utilization of emerging technologies surrounding mobile digitalization. As a Digital team member, the Android Developer will gather technical requirements and leverage current features to improve usability and overall performance of consumer mobile applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Android Development
  • 1+ years of professional experience utilizing Kotlin for Android Development
  • Experience utilizing Android SDK toolkit
  • Jenkins and Gradle utilization
  • Experience with REST APIs and architecture patterns such as MVP
  • Enterprise Android Development preferred
  • Must be local to NY/NJ area and able to work onsite in Iselin, NJ beginning in 2022
  • Strong problem solving and creative ability to think outside of the box
  • Able to interface with, communicate with, and present to high level executives in a professional manner 


  • Develop, maintain and support client mobile applications for Android platform
  • Collaborate with IT and Business partners to determine development needs
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
  • Interpret written business requirements and technical specification documents to design and implement executable code solutions in accordance with business needs
  • Accountable for delivery on time and within budget that meets or exceeds quality standards
  • Learn how to support each Enterprise application to effectively back up each team member
  • Use an Agile methodology
  • Ensure application development and support are aligned with IT standards and strategy
  • Bring new and innovative ideas to the table to question the norm of how things are done
  • Maintain working knowledge about emerging technologies
