Sr. IT Technologist – Front End Web Developer

As a Principle IT Technologist, you will be responsible to architect, design and implement new or enhanced mobile, web, and desktop applications for internal and external use. This role will focus on applications to enable Quality and Clinical processes. Works on a highly skilled project team of developers, architects, testers, and business analysts following an iterative development methodology (Agile). Includes a variety of software and hardware platforms



  • Handle all aspects of designing and architecting advanced, database-driven integrated technology solutions including conceptual design and architecture. 
  • Establish a close relationship with Enterprise Architects and others in the IT workgroup to ensure that the business needs are understood and are being met / planned for appropriately.
  • Lead architecture, development, and design sessions for complex multi-platform applications.
  • Create technical design and architecture documents.
  • Present proposed design solutions to users and management in a timely, comprehensive, and understandable manner.
  • Develop user-interfaces based on client requirements and defined team processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive object models based on client requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and unit testing in accordance with industry best-practices and defined team processes
  • Establish best practices and ensure compliance to software development policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for quality and delivery of advanced, integrated, and diverse technical products in accordance with client requirements and departmental standards.
  • Provide guidance to developers in software design and development including reviewing and providing constructive feedback on others’ code. Perform key or lead in role in establishing team software development processes including source code control, build, and code review processes.
  • Constantly seek ways to increase efficiency in the delivery of services, while maximizing our value to the business.
  • Manage multiple design, development, and other related tasks concurrently.
  • Develop and maintain a broad and deep understanding of current hardware, software, and application development technologies 
  • Represent the organization as the key technical contact on projects. Interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Lead troubleshooting initiatives for complex issues that arise.
  • Expected to independently determine solutions.


  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Experienced in the design and development of complex mobile application solutions
  • Significant experience in iOS Development with XCode, Objective-C, Cocoa, Cocoa Touch, and Core Services API
  • Strong technical skills in C# .NET, WCF, JavaScript and related technologies
  • Experience with SQL, PL-SQL, MongoDB and data modeling.
  • Experience with XML/JSON, RESTful Web Services
  • Experience with:
    • Java, React.js
    • Grails
    • GitLab for source code control
    • Jenkins for application building/testing/deploying
  • Artifactory for deployment artifact storage
  • Contrast for application security testing
  • Unit testing experience
  • Experience in integration and API architecture, MulseSoft, and Fusion middleware
  • eBiz (HTML, Session mgmt., cookies, siteminder/IAM) and iPlanet
  • Creative/innovative “out of the box” thinker able to tune/optimize complicated architecture (OC SSO, eBiz, iPlanet/Apache)
  • Participation in full project lifecycle implementations.
  • Familiar with Agile Scrum project delivery methodology
  • Strong programming and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of application development tools.
  • Able to adapt and respond quickly to changing situations.
  • Strong decision making abilities and problem resolution skills.
