Job Position Title? 1. Sr. Software Engineer
Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes what’s being done? Manage government business on a vendor platform for Optum Behavioral Health. Manage end to end delivery, manage vendor relationship, manage releases, interact and communicate with internal and external customers, manage escalations, present to C level management.
Please describe the team the candidate will be working with – how many members and what is the break-down of the team’s skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)? 22-25 member in a matrix organization + vendor development team + customer
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? i. 8+ years of expertise and leadership in Program Management.
ii. 3+ years Proven financial acumen with experience managing budgets in the $3M-5M range or more
iii. 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, Product Owner or Agile Coach
iv. 2+ years of experience working on large scale, multiple scrum team projects
v. 2+ years of experience working on mixed methodology program (Scrum interfacing with Waterfall from a dependency perspective)
vi. In depth understanding of the technology and multi-practice disciplines associated with program life cycle methodology, large scale project implementation techniques and knowledge of tools and vendors in the marketplace
vii. Program Management skills and experience including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external organizations to ensure client satisfaction and drive client and IT accountability
viii. Proven track record leading matrix IT teams with 25-30 staff or more
ix. Demonstrated ability to weigh alternatives and determine program strategy and experienced in leading large scale programs, consisting of diverse business and IT teams
x. Experience with Agile Management tools (e.g. Agile Central, JIRA, VersionOne)
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position? (Please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete on a daily basis) Manage vendor relationship, facilitate and lead solutioning sessions, oversite/reporting of vendor performance, coordinate prioritization development and release planning and production checkout, support/monitor vendor tools and architecture, coordinate war room for blockers and critical defects.

e. Ability to lead and influence large matrix teams both on and off-shore
f. Experience with supervisory responsibilities preferred
g. Experience in successfully managing multiple programs/projects simultaneously
h. Experience with DevOps (Acceptance Test Driven Development , Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Service Oriented Architecture)
i. Successful in obtaining results in a large corporate (Fortune 200), heavily matrixed environment
j. Experience working for a professional services or Big 4 management consulting
k. Participation in industry Project Management and Agile communities of practice
l. Graduate degree; MBA preferred
