Sr. Backend Software Engineer (Kotlin)
100% Remote (EST)

Description
In this role you will design and develop security applications and components using the latest cloud-based technologies and innovative multitenency data protection, authentication and authorization technologies. You'll have the opportunity to join a new team at our Fortune 15 healthcare client to develop long lasting security measures.
Primary Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, application design, code development and testing and follow Agile/Scrum methodology to deliver high-quality software releases every 2 weeks
- Develop APIs using Kotlin programming language and other software development tools and technologies
- Securing backend data using tools like Java Spring Boot and AWS Cognito
- Data housed in multitenency from different sources using Okta
- Database and depository experience in Snowflake and Teradata
- Moving from Kotlin to Golang in future state
- Authorization and authentication experience with OLAP and OLTP
- Terraform – infrastructure as code
- Review code and transfer knowledge according to established team processes
- Document and communicate design and application code specifications and details to other team members
- Adapt to new programming languages, methodologies, platforms and frameworks to support the business needs
Required Experience
- 10 years programming and full software development life-cycle experience
- 5 years experience Java/Springboot
- 5 years experience Go programming language and/or web service API development experience
- 2+ years experience using AWS
- Ability to perform assigned software development tasks using established standards and procedures without any supervision
- Strong technical skills including solid understanding of software development methodologies and principles
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Ability to meet scheduled task requirements within assigned deadlines
- Ability to work with others in a fast paced environment
- 1 year experience with OLAP and OLTP Authorization experience
- 1 year experience working with Okta or multitendency data protection
- 1 year experience with ServiceNow Automation
- 1 year experience AWS Cognito
