Staff Software Engineer – Java, Spring Boot (Backend)
12 Month Contract (option to hire)
$70 – $75/hr on contract (130K – 150K at the time of conversion)
Join Brooksource in an exciting opportunity to become a Java Developer for our Fortune 30 client within the Retail/Building Materials industry. In this role, you will lead a talented team of engineers in the creation and design of a product allow's customers to execute contactless payments in-store. Our client is seeking a Java expert who can delve into payment systems, understand how the software's interactions with hardware, and thrives developing applications that have no UI.
Requirements
- At least a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant work experience
- Extensive experience developing applications using Java 8
- Experience with developing Payment systems – credit cards, pin pads and cloud environments.
- Experience developing legacy device applications, working with pin pads, or retail-development experience.
- Proficient in test-driven development and effective unit test creation
- Proficient in successful application of design patterns
