Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Cognos Developer with experience in Deltek Costpoint to support one of our clients in the Defense space. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions using Cognos and Deltek Costpoint. You will work closely with other developers and business analysts to gather requirements, design, develop, and test solutions, and provide ongoing support to end-users.
RESPONSIBILITES:
· Design, develop, and maintain Cognos reports, dashboards, and other business intelligence solutions using Deltek Costpoint as the data source
· Work closely with business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
· Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract data from Deltek Costpoint
· Optimize the performance of Cognos reports and dashboards to ensure fast and reliable access to data
· Create and maintain documentation for all developed solutions
· Provide end-user support and training as needed
· Work collaboratively with other developers and stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of business intelligence solutions
· Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices related to Cognos and Deltek Costpoint
REQUIREMENTS:
· Min. 5 YOE in Cognos development/analysis
· Experience with Cognos Analytics, Cognos Framework Manager, and Cognos Report Studio
· Strong experience with Deltek Costpoint, including understanding of its data structures and table relationships
· Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
· Knowledge of ETL processes and tools
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
· Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Experience in government contracting industry a plus
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
• Experience in Azure, with Data Factory, Databricks, and Logic Apps
• Experience with PowerBI Desktop
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, with focus on Power Automate
