This Technical product owner will support a critical application for a Fortune 13 Pharmaceutical Benefit Management company. The product is a suite for pricing projections and contract services related to customer and client pharmacy claims, which is used as a data source for a variety of business focused users who administrate prescriptions and other medical resources. This TPO will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and software development teams, ultimately creating an effective line of communication to support client needs, holding the teams accountable and follow best practices for maximum product efficiency. Responsibilities include road mapping, intake forums, writing user stories, monitoring the backlog using Jira technologies, refinement sessions, future product planning sessions and leveraging leadership skills to drive the teams' success. It is critical that this TPO understands Agile methodologies while using their high-touch communication abilities and is motivated to work closely as a team in order to meet important deadlines. This is a great opportunity to be mentored and trained on new technologies in an agile environment.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Informatics, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Experience in a software engineering product environment
  • Solid understanding and hands on experience with JIRA for story mapping and grooming the backlog
  • Experience using SQL and able to use this tool for administration of critical data
  • Understanding of technological tools (Java, Mongo, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience working in a cloud environment is a plus
  • Experience using Spark, Scala and/or Hadoop is a plus
  • Experience in an Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills
