This role encompasses structural design, analysis, field support, and coordination with multi-disciplinary project teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy industrial or power plant structural engineering, or hold accredited engineering degrees with a Professional Engineering (PE) license. The position offers flexibility for hybrid or remote work arrangements and requires excellent problem-solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.\n<\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#39;LL DO<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide advanced structural engineering design and field support for heavy industrial and power plant projects<\/li>\n<li>Prepare structural designs, calculations, and technical documentation<\/li>\n<li>Perform site walkdowns and structural inspections at construction and operating facilities<\/li>\n<li>Develop cost estimates and material takeoffs for structural components<\/li>\n<li>Produce, review, and check structural steel design calculations and drawings<\/li>\n<li>Conduct structural inspections and prepare written evaluation reports<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with plant personnel, engineering teams, and vendors to support project execution<\/li>\n<li>Provide project schedule input and staffing support for multi-disciplinary teams<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with structural codes, standards, and OSHA safety regulations<\/li>\n<li>Manage and coordinate multiple large-scale, multi-discipline projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30+ years of experience in heavy industrial and\/or power plant structural engineering OR accredited Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees in Engineering with a Professional Engineering (PE) license<\/li>\n<li>Extensive knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry practices<\/li>\n<li>Significant experience in structural steel connection design<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with applicable structural codes and standards<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of heavy industrial structures and components<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with structural analysis software, including STAAD.Pro<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer and technical documentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage and coordinate multiple large-scale, multi-discipline projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":1257,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Birmingham, Alabama","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Brooksource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[8],"class_list":{"0":"post-3072","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","7":"job-type-contract"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Structural Engineer SR 3, Birmingham Alabama<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Structural Engineer SR 3, Birmingham Alabama - Search the latest healthcare jobs from Brooksource.
