We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer IV to join the Nuclear IT Data Fabric Team, supporting mission critical data products that power analytics, data science, and operational decision making across the nuclear fleet.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This role is ideal for a senior level engineer who enjoys hands on development while also influencing architecture, providing technical leadership, and mentoring others.<\/span><\/p>\n

You will design and build modern cloud native, streaming, and data engineering solutions using AWS, Terraform, Kafka\/Flink, and relational databases, contributing directly to the organization\u2019s data modernization strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Data Engineering & Architecture<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Design, build, test, and maintain scalable distributed data systems and data products.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop and enhance data pipelines that consolidate complex datasets into unified, governed views.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Build and maintain analytics infrastructure used by data analysts, data scientists, and business partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Create scalable, maintainable software components in Java and Python.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Streaming & Real-Time Processing<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Build and optimize streaming applications using Kafka Streams and\/or Apache Flink (Java APIs).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Implement highly reliable streaming topologies for ingestion, transformation, and delivery of real time datasets.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Cloud Engineering & Infrastructure<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop and operate workloads using AWS EMR, Redshift, Lake Formation, Glue Catalog, and serverless components.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Use Terraform\u2014including modular patterns\u2014to provision consistent, secure infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Build CI\/CD pipelines using Concourse and Git\/version control workflows.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Data Quality, Observability & Governance<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Implement automated data quality checks, error handling, recovery processes, and replayability patterns.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Work with cross functional teams to ensure data governance, lineage, and compliance standards are adhered to.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Collaborate with application developers, DB architects, analysts, and data scientists on data delivery architecture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Leadership & Collaboration<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team technical direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Work effectively across cloud, database, and platform teams.<\/span><\/p>\n
