Their culture emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and shared success across teams.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing all levels of estimates and proposals for field and pre-fabrication construction projects. You will collaborate with clients, procurement teams, subcontractors, and vendors to develop accurate cost estimates, analyze historical data, and recommend process improvements. This is an opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#39;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Consult with clients, procurement teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders to develop estimates and resolve issues<\/li>\n<li>Interface with Procurement and Operations to obtain support and commitment to cost estimates<\/li>\n<li>Analyze historical data and recommend improvements to estimating procedures to reduce discrepancies between estimated and actual costs<\/li>\n<li>Identify cost trends to support management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts<\/li>\n<li>Assist in post-project analysis comparing estimated versus actual costs to determine root causes of discrepancies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with established estimating methodologies and quality standards<\/li>\n<li>Review DOR completion, assignments, estimating quantities, and project scope<\/li>\n<li>Review small and disadvantaged business solicitations and evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Review subcontractor solicitations, quotes, RFP compliance, clarifications, exceptions, and evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Identify gaps or overlaps in scope of work documentation<\/li>\n<li>Assemble material and labor costs for proposals and construction projects<\/li>\n<li>Conduct solicitation and pre-qualification efforts for subcontractors and small\/disadvantaged businesses<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and incorporate specialty and standard equipment\/material pricing into estimates<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and distribute bid packages to subcontractors<\/li>\n<li>Present estimating information and attend pre-bid meetings<\/li>\n<li>Conduct subcontractor labor and market studies and provide recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Develop project summary schedules<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes; develop and present estimating strategies and plans<\/li>\n<li>Provide preliminary pricing for indirect costs and general conditions<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate fee structures, contingency, and escalation; make recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Review plans and specifications for risk and propose mitigation strategies<\/li>\n<li>Review commercial terms and conditions with legal counsel for cost and risk considerations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accuracy and validity of estimate clarifications and assumptions<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and price value engineering proposals<\/li>\n<li>Perform additional duties as assigned<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all company policies and standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 3+ years of direct project estimating experience (applicable experience may be substituted in place of a degree)<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<li>Experience with estimating software such as Quotesoft, Accubid, Oracle, and\/or PowerBI preferred<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of estimating techniques, construction disciplines, and cost control systems<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently or collaboratively, think critically, and make sound decisions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT&#39;S IN IT FOR YOU<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive benefits package supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative, growth-oriented work environment<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities to contribute to critical infrastructure projects<\/li>\n<li>Culture of ownership, teamwork, and shared success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":1257,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Appleton, Wisconsin","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Brooksource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[23],"class_list":{"0":"post-3081","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","7":"job-type-direct-hire"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Mechanical Estimator, Appleton Wisconsin<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Mechanical Estimator, Appleton Wisconsin - Search the latest healthcare jobs from Brooksource.
