In this hands-on role, you will help keep the building running smoothly by performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, supporting the skilled trades team, and ensuring a safe, clean environment. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with real room to grow into more advanced systems work, including exposure to boilers, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and other critical building infrastructure. Flexibility for on-call shifts and a strong work ethic are essential.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#39;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform general building maintenance, including painting, patching, cleaning, and minor repairs<\/li>\n<li>Assist with plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and addressing leaks<\/li>\n<li>Support HVAC technicians with filter changes, equipment inspections, and routine upkeep<\/li>\n<li>Respond to internal work orders and resolve facility issues in a timely, professional manner<\/li>\n<li>Help maintain clean, organized mechanical and utility spaces<\/li>\n<li>Follow all safety protocols on the job, including proper use of tools and equipment<\/li>\n<li>Be available for on-call shifts and flexible scheduling as facility needs arise, including evenings and weekends<\/li>\n<li>Work with and gain exposure to boilers, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and other critical building infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Interact professionally with researchers and staff, providing customer-focused support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Special Engineer Boilers License (required)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in building maintenance, facilities, construction trades, or a related hands-on field<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working with basic hand and power tools<\/li>\n<li>Dependable, punctual, and willing to take on various tasks<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and positive attitude\u2014this team moves fast and takes pride in their work<\/li>\n<li>Experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Military background in a mechanical or facilities role (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Customer service mindset for daily interactions with researchers and staff (preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":1257,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Plymouth, Minnesota","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Brooksource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[7],"class_list":{"0":"post-3178","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","5":"hentry","7":"job-type-contract-to-hire"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>HVAC Technician 2, Plymouth Minnesota<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"HVAC Technician 2, Plymouth Minnesota - Search the latest healthcare jobs from Brooksource.
