This on-site role is ideal for mid-to-senior level engineers with a strong background in electric utility operations, reliability analysis, and distribution infrastructure planning who can contribute immediately within a highly visible engineering organization. The Reliability Engineer will play a key role in enhancing system reliability, supporting grid modernization initiatives, analyzing outage and performance data, and developing infrastructure investment strategies to ensure safe and reliable service for customers. This position also offers the opportunity to serve as a technical mentor and help develop future engineering talent entering the organization. You will have the chance to make a significant impact on the reliability and modernization of energy delivery systems while supporting the professional growth of both yourself and your colleagues.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#39;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Analyze and improve electric distribution system reliability performance across multiple operating areas<\/li>\n<li>Develop reliability improvement strategies and long-range plans to support system modernization and future load growth<\/li>\n<li>Support long-term infrastructure investment planning and reliability-focused capital projects<\/li>\n<li>Perform detailed analysis of outage events, circuit lockouts, device interruptions, CEMI\/DEMI metrics, and underperforming circuits<\/li>\n<li>Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for engineering and operational leadership teams<\/li>\n<li>Support budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and execution of reliability initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Partner with field operations, system operations, distribution control centers, and engineering teams to resolve reliability concerns<\/li>\n<li>Investigate power quality issues and support customer inquiries as needed<\/li>\n<li>Review equipment performance data and identify corrective actions for inoperable or aging infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical expertise during storm restoration efforts and emergency response activities<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a resource and mentor for junior engineers and early-career technical professionals<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all work is executed in accordance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical discipline<\/li>\n<li>5+ years of utility engineering experience focused on electric distribution systems<\/li>\n<li>Experience operating at an Engineer III or Engineer IV level<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of electric distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and reliability performance<\/li>\n<li>Experience analyzing electrical system data and developing engineering recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of utility reliability metrics, outage analysis, and infrastructure planning<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#39;s license and ability to travel throughout Pennsylvania as needed<\/li>\n<li>Professional Engineer (PE) License or Engineer-in-Training (EIT\/FE) certification (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting storm restoration or emergency response operations (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of NESC and NEC requirements (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with power quality investigations, outage management systems, and utility analytics tools (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technical employees (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to relocate to or reside in Pennsylvania<\/li>\n<li>Engineers who can immediately contribute to reliability and distribution engineering initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Strong technical problem solvers who can analyze complex electrical system challenges and develop actionable solutions<\/li>\n<li>Individuals interested in mentoring future engineering talent and helping build a strong technical organization<\/li>\n<li>Professionals seeking a long-term opportunity with a path to permanent employment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":1257,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Towanda, Pennsylvania","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Brooksource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[7],"class_list":["post-7309","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-contract-to-hire"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.9 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Sr. Reliability Engineer, Towanda Pennsylvania<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Sr. Reliability Engineer, Towanda Pennsylvania - Search the latest healthcare jobs from Brooksource.
