GraphQL API Developer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location:<\/strong> Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 3-4 days\/week onsite, ACC – 601 S Tryon Street)<\/span><\/p>\n

Join our Banking partner's Strata Engineering team, a highly visible engineering organization responsible for powering how customers and agents interact across digital and contact center platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This team owns and supports customer-facing chat experiences, contact center integrations, agent experiences through Salesforce, and IVR capabilities through Genesys. They are currently driving several strategic initiatives, including chat platform modernization, AI-powered customer service experiences, seamless authentication solutions, and next-generation customer engagement capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

What You'll Do<\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power Ally's customer and agent experiences.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Build scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and modern software design patterns.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Develop middleware services that connect customer-facing applications with backend enterprise systems.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Contribute to customer contact center solutions supporting chat, authentication, agent experiences, and digital servicing capabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Design and support cloud-native solutions within AWS using serverless and container-based architectures.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Partner closely with Product, DevOps, Salesforce, and Contact Center teams to deliver highly available customer experiences.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Participate in code reviews and help establish engineering best practices across the team.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Build and maintain CI\/CD pipelines that enable efficient testing and deployment processes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while improving system reliability and observability.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, and automation.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives involving conversational AI, agent assistance, and next-generation customer engagement technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Required Qualifications<\/span><\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Strong experience developing backend applications using JavaScript and TypeScript.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience building and supporting GraphQL APIs in Node.js.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience designing and integrating distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Understanding of cloud-native development principles and modern application architectures.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience with CI\/CD pipelines and automated testing practices.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience working with relational and\/or NoSQL databases.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred Qualifications<\/span><\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Experience building GraphQL APIs and understanding when GraphQL is advantageous over traditional REST patterns.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, ECS, EKS, or containerized workloads.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Exposure to React or React Native development.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Experience with Go (Golang).<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Experience integrating or consuming Salesforce APIs and services.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Familiarity with contact center platforms such as Genesys.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
