Junior Manual QA Tester
Remote
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking Junior Manual QA Testers to support a large-scale healthcare payer transformation initiative. In this role, you will execute high-quality manual testing across multiple critical business domains and enterprise applications, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and business process accuracy across integrated platforms. You will play a key part in reducing production defects, supporting regulatory compliance, and enabling successful User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to release. As a vital contributor to delivering reliable, member-facing, and operational systems, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the QA and UAT lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work on multiple work streams and core healthcare platforms, validating functionality, integrations, and business workflows, while supporting compliance and successful project delivery.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Execute manual test cases across integrated healthcare applications and business workflows, including but not limited to Claims & Encounters, Accumulators, Clinical, Behavioral Health, Customer Service, Enrollment & Billing, Sales & Broker, Public Website, and Provider Network work streams
- Participate in Functional, Integration, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Validate end-to-end business processes across multiple systems and data touchpoints
- Build, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test scripts
- Log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with automation testers to support the broader QA strategy and ensure alignment between manual and automated testing efforts
- Assist with performance and load testing activities during QA phases as needed
- Prepare testing artifacts, status updates, and materials for project meetings
- Attend stand-ups, defect triage, UAT sessions, and project meetings as required
- Identify, raise, and document issues and risks related to testing or system behavior
- Ensure test execution aligns with healthcare compliance, data accuracy, and business rules
WHAT YOU BRING
- 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing / QA
- Hands-on experience manually testing enterprise applications
- Prior exposure to healthcare payer environments strongly preferred
- Experience manually testing at least one of the following platforms: FACETS, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Understanding of QA testing methodologies and SDLC processes
- Experience with Functional, Integration, Regression Testing, and UAT support
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, Azure DevOps)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented test scenarios
- Clear communication skills with QA leads, developers, and business users
- Exposure to test automation concepts or tools (nice-to-have)
- Experience supporting performance or load testing efforts (nice-to-have)
- Healthcare domain knowledge (claims, enrollment, billing, provider data, member data) (nice-to-have)
