Application Programmer
Hybrid Role
Compensation: $35

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking a skilled Application Programmer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from inception through deployment and transition. You will be responsible for analyzing, modeling, designing, constructing, and testing reusable applications and objects, as well as developing interfaces with other systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React, with a proven track record in deploying applications using Kubernetes and Docker. You will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing software, developing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data quality, and integrating with various systems through REST, SOAP, and event-driven architectures. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services, Databricks, and data management tools is essential. You will work closely with Product Owners, Squad Leads, and Tech Leads to deliver high-quality solutions on time. Experience with FastAPI and SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Participate in all phases of the development process from inception through transition
  • Analyze, model, design, construct, and test reusable objects using object-oriented development tools
  • Develop applications to interface with other systems
  • Perform programming tasks and systems analysis to maintain and control computer software
  • Revise, repair, and expand existing programs to improve efficiency or adapt to new requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owner, Squad Lead, and Tech Lead to ensure on-time, quality delivery
  • Utilize programming languages such as Python, C#, ASP.NET Core, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Develop front-end solutions using React
  • Implement deployment and containerization using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Manage source control with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data quality frameworks using Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake) and related technologies
  • Handle data management tasks with SQL and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
  • Integrate systems using REST, SOAP, and event-driven architectures
  • Leverage Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure VM) for cloud-based solutions
  • Maintain and enhance existing software applications to meet evolving business needs

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with front-end technologies, specifically React
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and containerization
  • Familiarity with source control tools: GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform
  • Expertise in data engineering and big data tools: Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake), ETL/ELT pipeline development, data quality and validation frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of data management using SQL and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)
  • Experience with integration and APIs: REST, SOAP, event-driven architecture
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure VM)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality solutions on time
  • Optional: Experience with FastAPI framework
  • Optional: Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
