On-Site Role
Compensation: $35-$40/hr
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, a Fortune 10 Hyperscale Cloud Services provider, is seeking a seasoned Project Manager for Data Center Services to lead a high-impact enhancement project across multiple data center sites in the Richmond, VA region. Operating at the engagement level, you will bridge the gap between field execution and client leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of complex, multi-site projects. As the primary point of contact for client leadership, you will supervise Lead Technicians and their teams, enforce safety and operational protocols, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires a disciplined professional with deep technical knowledge, strong client relationship skills, and the ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Regular travel between sites and strict adherence to security protocols are essential. This is an opportunity to gain meaningful exposure to large-scale infrastructure delivery inside world-class data centers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Enforce client and company safety policies, including incident reporting, corrective actions, and stop-work authority for unsafe conditions
- Ensure all personnel have proper site access, required training, orientations, and PPE before commencing work
- Serve as the primary point of escalation, accountability, and client-facing representation for all active project sites and Lead Technicians
- Monitor and report on project health, tracking schedule adherence, quality standards, staffing levels, and proactively communicating risks or blockers to the client and internal leadership
- Manage resource allocation across sites, adjusting team composition and priorities as project needs evolve
- Support Lead Technicians with complex field decisions and client interactions requiring senior involvement
- Own all engagement-level project documentation and coordinate with internal operations on hiring, onboarding, compliance requirements, and contract administration
- Build and maintain project schedules and staffing plans in coordination with Site Leads, Area Leads, vendors, and client stakeholders
- Provide regular status updates, ensure accurate tracking and reporting of hours per person/per project, and document scope changes with appropriate approvals
- Support project closeout activities, including verification of scope completion, quality standards, access closure, final documentation submission, and post-project reviews
- Maintain consistent visibility across all active sites through regular check-ins, site visits, and team communication
- Strictly adhere to all client data center security protocols and PPE requirements; PPE will be provided, though personal composite toe footwear is encouraged
- Travel regularly between multiple client sites, coordinating schedules to balance site coverage and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate flexibility for client-mandated restricted or blocked workdays due to holidays or operational events; these will be communicated in advance and are unpaid
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership, accountable for the overall success of the engagement, not just individual sites

- Prior translatable military experience also suitable for this requirement
