ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the Collaboration Engineering and Enterprise Productivity team at a Fortune Broadcast Media & Entertainment organization as an Enterprise Automation Engineer (M365). In this hands-on, high-impact contract role, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Your work will directly reduce manual operational workload, strengthen governance, and accelerate the organization's AI and automation roadmap. Leveraging tools such as PowerShell, Python, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, and AI technologies including Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Copilot, you will automate provisioning, monitoring, compliance, and productivity workflows at enterprise scale. This is an opportunity for a builder who is passionate about automating manual processes and delivering impactful solutions in a collaborative environment that spans engineering, security, and operations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design, develop, and support automation solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments to reduce manual effort, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen governance
  • Build scripts, integrations, workflows, and self-service solutions for provisioning, deprovisioning, access management, reporting, monitoring, and operational processes
  • Develop solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 technologies including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Microsoft Graph, Power Platform, and Azure services
  • Own license provisioning and optimization, user lifecycle management, access request automation, governance workflows, compliance automation, operational dashboards, and cross-platform integrations
  • Develop AI-powered tools and workflow assistants using Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and related technologies to enhance operational support, reporting, governance, and employee productivity
  • Evaluate and apply emerging technologies such as AI agents, copilots, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to solve operational challenges at scale
  • Develop applications, APIs, and automation services using PowerShell, Python, and JavaScript; integrate with Microsoft Graph, Azure APIs, ServiceNow APIs, and other enterprise platforms
  • Support testing, deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts for automation solutions
  • Partner with engineering, security, and operational teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise security standards, identity governance requirements, compliance objectives, and operational best practices

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems engineering, software development, or Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation across Microsoft environments (primary tool)
  • Experience developing solutions using Python
  • Experience working with Microsoft Graph API
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 services (Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams)
  • Experience integrating with APIs and enterprise SaaS platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and deliver solutions from concept through implementation
  • Experience with Azure administration, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and Automation Accounts (preferred)
  • Experience with Power Automate and Power Platform (preferred)
  • Experience integrating with ServiceNow and other enterprise platforms (preferred)
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, AI agents, or enterprise AI solutions (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) (preferred)
  • Understanding of identity governance, security best practices, and enterprise compliance requirements (preferred)

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • Hands-on contract role at a Fortune Broadcast Media & Entertainment organization, with real ownership over automation solutions that reduce operational burden at enterprise scale
  • Opportunity to work at the intersection of Microsoft 365 engineering and applied AI—building intelligent automation using Azure OpenAI, Copilot, and emerging technologies like AI agents and MCP
  • High-impact environment where the solutions you build directly improve access management, governance, and productivity for a large, complex organization
  • Collaborative team spanning engineering, security, and operations—with autonomy to take solutions from concept through production
